The Children of WunderGlo – Holiday Toy Collection Drive and Gift Distribution
and
⛄”Tis the Wunder of The Season – Family Movie Night”⛄
The Gloria Borges WunderGlo Foundation started a beautiful tradition for The Holidays in 2016, when we began hosting our free “Tis The Wunder of The Season Family Movie Night”. This is such a wonderful & magical evening where everyone feels the spirit and true meaning of “The Holidays”, while watching a fun and traditional holiday family movie together in our own private theater. In 2024, our location moved to a private room at Mcambridge Park where holiday cheer was made and WunderGlo love was abound.
“Tis The Wunder of The Season” launches our WunderGlo Presents Collection Drive!
We receive donations of various toys, games, books, stuffed animals, and gift cards from our generous guests and loyal supporters to give to children whose parents are affected by colon cancer. We mail and distribute presents throughout the country, and our holiday gifts even reach children in Canada and Malaysia.
Each year, WunderGlo makes our list (and checks it twice) of the toys and gift cards to share with parents who have colon cancer. These parents then select for their children what they would like to receive from WunderGlo. Then, we wrap each holiday present, tie them with shiny bows, and we deliver or mail our gift packages in boxes that are shipped throughout the country. To download our flyer click here.
Since 2016, The Gloria Borges WunderGlo Foundation has distributed presents to the children of families affected by colon cancer types for the Holidays in the following communities: Little Canada, Minnesota – Tampico, Illinois – Old Bethpage, New York – Cibolo, Texas – Denver, Colorado – Mountain Lakes, New Jersey, Freehold, New Jersey – Lebanon, Oregon – Lincoln, Nebraska – Prairie Du Sac, Wisconsin – Matthews, North Carolina – Las Vegas, Nevada – Lancaster, Massachusetts – El Reno, Oklahoma – Hamilton, Ohio – Savannah, Georgia – Hershey, Pennsylvania – Seattle, Renton – and Lynwood, Washington.
And of course throughout The Gloria Borges WunderGlo Foundation’s home state of California, including the following cities (and more): Los Angeles, South Pasadena, Thousand Oaks, Burbank, Pasadena, Grand Terrace, Riverside, San Bernardino, Boulder Creek, Costa Mesa, Ontario, Pomona, El Monte, Palm Desert, Corning and the City-By-The-Bay: San Francisco.
Our presents even reach children of families affected by colorectal cancer in Fernie, British Columbia, Canada -AND- Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia!
Please know that our gifts are NOT only “need based”.
Our goal is to do something kind for children who’s parents have cancer or who have lost a parent to cancer – regardless of a family’s income level.
Cancer doesn’t discriminate whose family it affects, so WunderGlo offers our presents and support to children of cancer patients.
The Gloria Borges WunderGlo Foundation believes in supporting the children who are also experiencing their parent’s cancer diagnosis in their own way, – and at their own level.
The WunderGlo Foundation wants these children to know that we are a group of people in this world who care about their lives and what they go through.
NOTE: The wonderful donors of The Gloria Borges WunderGlo Foundation generously contribute annually to The Children of WunderGlo holiday gifts distribution program (toys/books/gift cards/activities) to share with all of the families that WunderGlo supports.
These families/cancer patients have a connection or direct affiliation with The Gloria Borges WunderGlo Foundation.
The WunderGlo Foundation is based in Los Angeles, California and primarily supports patients at local area hospitals, oncology, and cancer centers.
We do not have the budget or availability to give our holiday gifts to patients who are not directly connected with our foundation OR do not receive treatment locally in Southern California.
Local Southern California patients meet on specified dates at USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center to pick up WunderGlo’s presents for their children in the month of December.
We have a limited shipping budget to ship our gifts only to those out-of-state patients who have been on our distribution list for several years running.
In 2024, due to very high (and rising) shipping costs, we unfortunately had to change our program to limit sending WunderGlo gifts via USPS vs. meeting patients to deliver presents locally, as these expenses far exceeded our program’s budget.
The Gloria Borges WunderGlo Foundation wishes you the happiest of holidays always!
